Weekly check-in with our ambassador Frederikke Brasch

How are you? (What are you up to these days? What keeps you busy?) 

I'm doing really well, thanks. I'm currently working with my sister at her new company Caro Editions. We are having so much fun and we are working hard, and everything is moving super fast. Besides that, I'm spending time with friends and family, swimming in the ocean, and dancing the night away. Of course, I also work out at Nordic Strong ;)

What does your fitness routine look like? 

Currently, my fitness routine is going well. I enlisted the help of a personal trainer a few months ago, which has been very encouraging for me. I find it challenging to stay motivated when exercising alone, so having someone who provides support and inspiration has been beneficial. Our training sessions occur once a week at the Nordic Strong Gym, and in addition to that, I aim to attend 1-2 Nordic Strong classes per week.

What is your favorite thing about training at Nordic Strong? 

I love the vibe at Nordic Strong. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, and the overall atmosphere is really positive. The trainers are inspiring, and the workouts are effective. Personally, I find the Strong class to be my favorite because it targets the entire body. I have an old knee injury that makes running difficult, but using the Nordic Trainer allows me to engage in cardio exercise without experiencing any discomfort.

How do you relax your body & mind? 

I am a huge fan of saunas and cold water therapy. Regularly doing these activities has also positively impacted my mental health. I notice that I sleep better, feel happier, and can focus more at work. If I don't have time for the sauna, I opt for full-body cryotherapy at One Thirty Labs, which provides similar benefits. Before bed, I often listen to a meditation podcast and take magnesium supplements to naturally relax my muscles and improve my sleep.

 What does a balanced lifestyle look like to you? 

Balance means sticking to my healthy routines during the weekdays while allowing myself to relax a bit on the weekends. This approach helps me achieve my goals while enjoying myself and allowing my body and mind to rest.

Tips on staying motivated to live a healthy lifestyle? 

One effective tip for staying committed to your healthy routines is to surround yourself with like-minded people, who share your interests and are willing to join in on your workouts. This can greatly enhance your motivation and help you maintain a positive routine. Personally, I find it enjoyable to spend time with loved ones while also engaging in physical activities.

Anything else you want to add?

I would recommend everybody to read Thermalist by Susanna Søberg. The book is about hot and cold therapy and gives directions on living a less stressful and longer life.
